2018 Toyota Tundra & Sequoia Attract Great Attention

July 15, 2017

There is no doubt in how big Toyota is when it comes to automobiles. The Japanese manufacturer is well-known for producing top-notch cars, yet keeping them within a price range that is affordable to the majority. Recently, the automaker once again left people in awe as it introduced revamped versions of its all-famous Tundra and Sequoia.

The Changes

This year in Chicago, RAV4 Adventure was not the only thing that astonished attendees. It welcomed the two popular automobiles from the manufacturer, both of which are back with a bang!

To start off, both the cars now feature Toyota’s TRD sports gear. This is essentially the highlight of both the automobiles, but that certainly does not mean that other upgrades are worth any less of your attention. There have been a bunch of additions to the interior as well as the exterior of the couple. This is assisted by the application of several contemporary safety features. Let us go through each of these separately.

Safety Features

Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia come forward with a range of admirable safety features that elevate the standard of safety they offer their users. To start off, the Tundra features a Pre-Collision system now. This is in addition to the Pedestrian Detection, Auto High-Beam, Lane Departure Alert and a lot more.  On the other hand, its counterpart Sequoia features AHB, DRCC, PCS w/PD and LDA. It also has a new Toyota Safety Sense system.

Exterior

This is where the major change lies in both the truck and the SUV. The truck features new-style headlights for several different editions including the Platinum and the Limited. In addition, the truck comes with color-keyed mirrors, 20-inch alloy sports wheels as well as a mesh grille. The car also features a variety of color options including blazing blue pearl, red metallic, and midnight black pearl among a few others.

The SUV Sequoia has a brand new center speaker grille and comes in colors ranging from magnetic gray metallic to sizzling crimson. It also features a bumper grille insert as well as a newly designed front grille. The black satin finish over the TRD sports badge which sits on the front doors goes on to elevate the aesthetics to a whole new level.

Tech Specs

Both the newly launched automobiles by Toyota feature a similar engine. This engine boasts custom shocks, two separate modes—4 by 4 and 4 by 2—and anti-sway bars.

Interior

Toyota Sequoia features a beautiful black fabric seating. You can also opt for black leather for the captain’s seat. However, this option is only available in the Premium Package. Other notable additions to the Sequoia interior include sill protectors, floor mats, and TRD shift knob, all of which are optional but can be opted for in all packages. The Tundra also comes with similar additions to the interior.
