Engine World is the leading importer of used engines and transmissions from Japan and domestic manufacturers. Our knowledgeable staff has extensive experience and has worked hard over the years to ensure that the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) engines we import are of the highest quality and are fully compatible with the US Domestic Market (USDM) design specifications. Since our founding, we have strived to import high quality, low mileage engines.

We have one of the most complete inventories in the country with over 80,000 items in stock and an extensive list of domestic and international supplier networks. Onsite in our warehouse we have a state of the art full machine shop. We offer many rebuilt options on popular models. We take pride in knowing that all our used engines and transmissions are fully inspected and tested before sale for our local and national customers. All our products are stored inside our vast weatherproof warehouse facilities.
Company History
EngineWorld was founded in January 2004. The company founder has extensive experience in the industry and Japanese engine market stretching back over 30 years. His deep technical expertise and industry regulations, along with his intimate relationship with suppliers has enabled EngineWorld to establish a reliable engine and transmission import channel from various Asian markets including Japan, Korea, and China. Our suppliers are familiar with the quality we demand and we purchase only the best used engines and transmissions.

Had a wonderful experience dealing with Engine world, If you are looking for value and ensuring good quality low mileage engines and transmissions this is the place to shop. I owner of B&R automotive services here in Modesto CA, have been purchasing engines and transmissions for the past 5yrs and have I not had one bad experience. The staff at Engine world is very great to work with and are very knowledgeable when dealing with engines and transmissions. Like I said earlier if you want a good reliable used engine or transmission that will last you for many years don't go waste your time in shopping anywhere else go straight to this people and they will take care you your needs.

Fort Lauderdale, FLI've gotten at least 15 motors, and 10 transmissions from them over a course of 6 years and never had a problem except one, and they took care of it immediately... There warranty is in plain English, and anyone that complains about they don't have warranty on labor that's the nature of the Automotive world and Your repair facility should let you know that... Ran a shop in California for 20 years and now Live and run a shop in Minnesota, and will continue to get things from them...

San Francisco, CAI have to say that I was concerned when reading the reviews on yelp, however I went ahead and purchased a Nissan V6 3.3 and had it installed by Kenzo at Japan Autos in San Rafael. Here is the key to a successful engine swap, have someone do it who knows what they are doing otherwise you will be unhappy. Remember the engine could be from a whole bunch of different model cars although the same manufacturer. Things like oil pans could be different because of cross members etc, hence the experienced guy to install it. I live just 20 miles or so from engine world and was nearby today so I popped in to see their operation, it's first class and the guy was polite enough to give me a full tour of the facility, my engine has been in for 4 months and is running great. Remember you take the risk in a used engine and know one has a crystal ball or X-ray vision, they proved to me they do all they can to make sure the engine is good. And yes I would do it again.

I bought a used engine from them that they tested in front of me and I like how they provided a checklist for my mechanic to use.
